Communal Collage: Creating a Collective Chapbook with Peter Guy Witzig

$0.00

Saturday Oct 18 @ 2pm  at MCBA during the Midwest Queer & Trans Zine Fest

1011 Washington Ave S #100, Minneapolis, MN 55415

Sometimes it’s most exciting to see what emerges from the sum of our collective parts. This workshop embraces and celebrates collective authorship by queer people. Bring something text-based–truly anything!--you would like to contribute to a communal zine. Before the workshop, you’ll receive a reminder email to add your text to a cloud document. Possible text contributions are wide open to interpretation and could include your own original writing or someone else’s writing, quote, poem, slogan, script, diary, article, speech or any other text that moves, excites, or fascinates you. We will learn techniques for creating and combining collage imagery with text as well as collectively work together on theme, design, layout, and titling. All other materials will be provided. Participants will receive a copy of the collective chapbook to take home.
