Ryan says: “For this workshop you must bring your own tablet or laptop with Clip Studio Paint. Some experience with Clip Studio Paint would be helpful, but I don’t think it’s necessary.” This workshop is mostly about how to apply and layer halftones, and you’ll need to be able to do your own color separations. Ryan Maticka is an illustrator and printmaker based in Minneapolis, MN. His work explores themes of masculinity and intimacy. Ryan operates a small screen printing studio at the 2010 Artblock building in SE Minneapolis, where he creates vibrant screen prints of his digital drawings and illustrations. Ryan sees printmaking as a natural compliment to digitally drawn work. Ryan has exhibited work in local gallery shows in the Twin Cities including winning Best in Show at the Safeword Erotic Art Show in 2024.
